Dallas Cowboys v. New York Giants
I am a die hard Dallas Cowboys fan, while my mother is a New York Giants fan. Last night, the two teams played rah other in the season opener. Safe to say, my living room was filled with constant screaming between us, and brutal Facebook arguments with each other and her friends. She even refused to feed me dinner! About halfway through the third quarter, I accepted the fact that my boys were going to lose. My mom was extremely happy and pranced around the house running it in my face. About half way through the last quarter, things were still looking bad for my boys. My mom decided she had clinched the victory and she went to bed. I, however, had a sudden sense of hope. I continued to watch the game, down to the last seconds. Sure enough, my boys came back, and took the win right away from the Giants and came out on top. My mother definitely woke up to me running it in her face all over her Facebook. She was not a happy camper this morning!
Ocean City, Maryland
As I said in my last blog, I was awake at 7:00 to road trip to Ocean City with my mom and brother. We have been going there since I was a kid, so we decided to take a trip. Considering I got four hours of sleep, I slept the entire way there. When we arrived at Ocean City, we went out onto the boardwalk. The first thing we did was eat at our favorite restaurant. The Dough Roller. The pizza there is unbelievable. After we ate we walked the entire boardwalk and did some shopping. I got a new hoodie that I am absolutely in love with. We then went to the end of the boardwalk and rode the rides with my brother. After that we got some ice cream from Dumser's. It was amazing. We then headed home around 5:00 because it was a school night for my little brother.
Virginia Tech
On Thursday after my classes I packed my things and I went to Virginia Tech to see Cassidy. Keep in mind it is a five hour drive and I was all alone. I hit massive amounts of traffic on the way so it took seven hours. While I was at Tech we walked around, went shopping, ate quite a bit of food, and most importantly went to the football game on Saturday! It was so much fun! It rained a little bit, but we made the best of it. Tech took the win over Furnum like 46-3. Safe to say it was a blowout. I left to come home that night and didn't get home until 3 in the morning. I also had to wake up at 7:00 the next morning for a trip to Maryland. To be continued…

Road Trip!
Today I'm driving by myself to Virginia Tech to see Cassidy! I'm staying in her apartment with her for 3 days before I come home. We're going to go to the football game on Saturday. I haven't seen her since she left in August so I'm pretty excited! I'm not really looking forward to driving four hours by myself though. I'll be pretty lonely.

Dog Day At The Pool
On Labor Day, it was "dog day" at our community pool. I thought that I was in heaven for an hour. I was so in love with every dog that was swimming it's little heart out! They were everywhere, and you could get in the water with them. It was probably the best day ever. I took a lot of pictures of dogs that I didn't even know. I probably got judged quite a bit…
Sunset Shenanigans
One fact about me is that I am completely obsessed over sunsets! Practically every night I drive out to the beach that is three minutes from my house just to watch the sunset. I take pictures over and over and over. I will ever get tired of them. I will share a couple of the pictures with you on this blog! My wallpaper on my phone and my laptop are of sunsets that I have taken a picture of. Watching sunsets is like my get away. It feels like nothing else exists.

My Jeep Windshield
Today I had to go get my car windshield replaced. I drive a 2006 Jeep Wrangler and it is my baby. I love my jeep so much. The other day I noticed there was a crack in the windshield. It did not seem to be from a rock or any type of thing like that. It looked like just a random crack. It continued to get bigger so I finally took it in to get replaced. The bad thing is that across the top of my windshield, I am known to have my sticker that says "silly boys, jeeps are for girls." Since I got my windshield replaced today, I had to go order a new sticker because it is my signature.
Math Quiz
I just took my first college math quiz. It was ridiculously hard. I had to face time my friend Cassidy to help me. She's at Virginia Tech and she's always helped me with math. I have taken this math class three times total. I took it two times in high school and this semester in college. You would think I would understand it by now, right? Not the case. I am still clueless and I am pretty worried about what is in store for me this semester.
Nickie's First Day of Middle School!
Today was my brother's first day of middle school. He goes to the same school that I attended. I showed him around all of the hallways and to all of his teachers. This morning when I woke him up, he was excited, yet a little nervous. As I was driving him to school, he informed me that he was scared he was going to be picked on. I told him he would not get picked on because every little kid in that school knows him because of his last name. He came home after school and said that he absolutely loved it. I was proud.

Frustrating Biology Writing Assignment
I just spent the last two hours of my life typing up my writing assignment for my Bio 101 lab. As I finished typing up my paper, my computer crashed and I lost the entire thing. There are no words to describe how angry I was! I honestly wanted to throw this laptop across the room, but instead I went downstairs and got some pizza. The pizza helped. It definitely made me feel better. After I ate my pizza, I came back upstairs to my office and started typing it again. Safe to say, I just submitted my first assignment on Blackboard, and it better be an A!
